There is a whole lot happening at McLennan Library during October

Adult Colouring is a fashionable new pastime. Colouring is an activity that is always compelling and participants can bring their own books and pencils or use those available at the library. Adult colouring is a great way to relax, relieve stress and meet new friends. Adult colouring session are on Tuesdays from 1.15 to 2.15pm.

For kids under 6 years of age who enjoy being read to or working on crafts Tot Time is on Wednesday afternoons from 1.30 to 2.30pm.

LittleBits is an innovative program where participants can make functioning, electronic creations using “Little Bits” electronic kits. Suitable for ages 8 to adult, Little Bits happens on Thursday October 13 and 27 from 4pm to 5pm.

The McLennan Library Bookworms Club is a book club with a different as it does not assign a particular book for the group to read and discuss.
The club prefers its members to read to their own tastes and make recommendations accordingly. The group meets for coffee and informal discussion at the Library the first Thursday of the month from 10.30 to 11.30am.

McLennan Library hosts a “Games Café” with various board and card games for all ages and skill. Participants can bring their own games or use those available at the library. The next Games Cafe is on Friday October 28 from 2.30 to 4pm.

Lorna Shultz Nicholson, has written numerous sports themed novels for children and is the author of mystery novels and scripts for adults. She is also the Prairie region vice-president for Crime Writers of Canada. Nicholson will read from her work at McLennan Library on Monday, October 24 from 2 to 3pm.
