The M.D. of Smoky River No. 130 has re-signed Veterinary Services Inc. agreements with only half of current participants.
Those who haven’t re-signed, but wish to, should do so as soon as possible.
Normand Boulet, the ag fieldman for the M.D., made this part of his report to council for their meeting on Jan. 10.
Boulet has put out requests for proposal to replace mowers for roadside ditches, plus their sidearms.
The deadline to submit bids to the M.D. is Feb. 1.
In other news, Boulet has notified those landowners by letter, regarding inspectors for clubroot, that no evidence of this disease has been found on their lands.
Meetings about this issue are being held throughout the Peace Country.
