Following are notes from the Village of Girouxville council meeting Dec. 9, supplied by the Village:
Falher Medical Clinic denied
Council decided against contributing to the Falher Area Community Association of Professional Services board request for a one-year funding support to cover rent, utilities, electronic medical records program, phone, janitorial services, and possibly one medical office assistant.
Village withdraws from tourism group
Council decided to not renew their membership with Smoky River Tourism.
5-Year Capital Plan
Council motion to approve the Village of Girouxville 5-Year Capital Plan as presented. The Alberta government requires that all municipalities approve such plans.
2021 interim budget
Council approved the 2021 interim budget as presented. Like the 5-year capital plan, the Alberta government requires that all municipalities approve interim budgets.
Council passes SMTB agreement
Council approved the Smoky River Transportation Board Agreement and the program’s Policy and Procedures as presented.
MSI Operational 2020
Council motion to approve the 2020 MSI Operational funding distribution as presented.
