August 17 meeting
. Old Dump Site – due to environmental impact this site will be allowed to continue its natural process of degradation for the remaining 10 years. This will follow the post closure care plan period set in 2001 as a minimum period of 25 years after the landfill was closed.
. Development Permit #04-16 for an auto repair shop was approved with conditions.
. Central Peace/Smoky River – Regional Emergency Management Mutual Aid Agreement. Council accepted to participate in the Mutual Aid Agreement.
. Fire Service Fee Schedule from M.D. of Smoky River #130 – Council received as information the new fee schedule.
. 72 Hours Personal Emergency Preparedness Training – Council received this as information, and is aware that the Regional Fire Chief and some volunteer fire personnel will attend this session. They will receive the training to put on sessions in our area.
. RCMP Statistics Report Jan-Jun 2016 and Meeting @ AUMA Convention: Council request more RCMP presence in the Village on a random schedule, at this time no request to meet at AUMA Convention.
. Northern Woods Water Highway Guide, Dale Harrison, President is meeting with municipalities to revive the Northern Woods Water cavalcade from the 80’s. Council wished him much success on this endeavour.
. FireUnderwriters Survey upgrade to protected status – Council received as information the report provided by the FireUnderwriters Survey which upgraded the Village of Donnelly from code 3A semi-protected to 4 protected status for residential. For more information, please contact your insurance provider or the Village office.
. Hydrant Repairs – Two hydrants were replaced and another had the valve bolts replaced, however another four hydrants have low pitot results from the flow test report. Further investigation to find a solution, options may be replacing all four hydrants with MSI Capital funding.
. Sewer lift station – Repair to suction line needs an assessment, estimated $5,000 Council approved this procedure.
. School Zone Signs – Three sets of school zone signs have been installed.
. Due to the hour, a special meeting was called on August 25, 2016 to complete the remaining items on the agenda.

August 25 meeting
. Development Permit #04-16 request for extension to remove vehicles was approved.
. Development Permit #06-14 was approved as presented to open L’il Deb’s Tea House, which will house holistic health department, essential oils, vitamins, holistic products and home décor, an assortment of herbal teas as well as coffee, assortment of muffins and cookies.
. Sewer lift station repair – Council approved revised budget of $12,000 maximum using MSI Capital Grant to cover the cost.
. Complaints received ranging from unsightly to dog at large.
. A special meeting has been set to deal with the CAO hiring, on September 19, 2016.
. Next regular meeting is scheduled for September 12, 2016.
