The dining area in the Villa Beausejour was filled to capacity in the evening of June 21, as residents, their families and friends joined in for a barbecue dinner

“It’s our annual barbecue where we can invite families and friends,” says Manager Aline Roy.

“It’s also an evening of music.”

Approximately 300 people attended the event and the dinner consisted of steaks with all the trimmings.

Roy was pleased that so many people came for the event.

Outside in the hot sunny weather, members of the Vandeligt family and others cooked the steaks.

Inside, staff members constantly filled the heated containers with the food for the long lineups of hungry guests, and they helped with other tasks as well.

Following the dinner, some folks hit the dance floor as Raymond Rey, Dwaine Isert and Phil Dube pumped out the music from yesteryear.

This event was a fundraiser for seniors programming at the Villa. Last December, the Villa also hosted a big Christmas event for residents and their families, and residents received presents too.
