Following the election on October 13, the new McLennan Town Council consists of new members Michele Fournier (Mayor,) Marie Anne Jones, Sue Delaurier, Isaac Kocherla and incumbents Leo Giroux (Deputy Mayor,) Dwayne Stout and Eckhard Christen.
The appointment of Leo Giroux as Deputy Mayor took place at a Town of McLennan organizational meeting held on October 23.
At that organizational meeting, appointments took place of members of council to various boards and committees:
Mayor Michele Fournier is on Smoky River Regional Committee – and Smoky River Emergency Services.
Deputy Mayor Leo Giroux, is on Smoky River Emergency Services – and Smoky River Ag. Society.
Dwayne Stout is appointed to Heart River Housing – Smoky River Regional Water Commission – and Smoky River Regional Waste Commission.
Eckhard Christen appointments include Smoky River Airport – Smoky River Regional Water Commission – Smoky River Regional Waste Commission – and PREDA.
Marie Anne Jones will sit on the McLennan and District Chamber of Commerce and Northern Lakes College/C.E.C.
Isaac Kocherla is on Smoky River FCSS and Physician Recruitment and Retention.
Sue Delaurier is on McLennan Local Recreation Board – and Smoky River Regional Committee.
