Two individuals caught on security camera footage broke into the Mighty Peace Golf Club between Grimshaw and Peace River and stole some shirts, rain gear and golf gloves from the pro shop.

The theft occurred on April 26 at 11 p.m.

The same two people were also seen at 11:30 p.m. the same night [Sunday] at a residence in Grimshaw.

The pro shop owners have been contacted by people saying they can identify the individuals, according to the Northern Sunrise County Crime Watch group.

The following day, two individuals were also caught on camera in the Peace River School Division yard next to the Peace Regional Eco Centre.

They passed by the eco centre’s Put-N-Take and went into the bus yard at about 4:28 a.m. on Monday, April 27, then went into the eco-centre truck hut and electronics sea cans at approximately 4:36 a.m. They appeared to take some electronics from the sea can.

One of the individuals went back to the PRSD school yard to retrieve a bag at 7:23 a.m.

Both were wearing black hoodies and one of the two suspects had a backpack on.

They may have been driving an older silver Jeep seen in surveillance photos.

An e-mail sent to Northern Sunrise Crime Watch members says, “It appears these individuals may be the same ones that broke into Mighty Peace Golf Club.”

Police will not confirm yet if they are the same two people.

“The detachment is following up with tips from the public on both occurrences,” says Sgt. Dave Browne.

“As the investigations are ongoing, I’m not in a position to advise whether the two occurrences are related.”

Northern Sunrise Crime Watch asks everyone to be vigilant by locking all property and removing keys and valuables from locked vehicles.
