Fun and fitness August 2-5
Week 5 kicks off in McLennan.
During this week, the theme is fun and fitness. Youth will experience a yoga session with our youth programmer, Colby Robbins, have a wacky science day, go swimming at the Falher Pool and wrap up the week at Winagami Lake.
Imagine all of the great esteem building activities that the youth will be engaging in all the while having fun and meeting other youth from all over the region.
This year, our coordinator, Melanie Blanchette, is bilingual which assists our youth who speak French as their first language an all-around experience. Meagan Aubin is our assistant and also speaks French and has experience with youth programs. The 2016 team is in place to ensure your youth have a positive experience in the summer programs.
Our four-day summer programs normally run Monday through Thursday except for the week of August 2–5 in McLennan, which runs from Tuesday to Friday due to the long weekend. Cost is $50 per youth.
The one-day horse program is on August 19 at the EC Bar Ranch, east of High Prairie, for youth ages 10-15. The youth will trail ride on horseback, slip and slide, corn maze, bale maze, cook on a campfire as well as many esteem building activities. This one-day program is $75, which includes transportation, snacks and lunch.
Subsidy is available by contacting Georgia Dubois at srfcss@live.ca or calling (780) 837-2220.
Smoky River FCSS is looking forward to all youth aged between six and 12 and 10-15 to enjoy the Smoky River FCSS Summer Youth Program experience.
