Council will support and sign the regional letter being sent to Honourable Tyler Shandro, Minister of Health and MLA Todd Loewen. The letter will bring to their attention the extra exam that international physicians are required to pass in order to practice in Alberta. Other provinces only require the Canadian exam. We are currently two doctors short in our region, and have a potential international doctor interested in coming to our region. This extra exam and the change in the Canadian exam are making it more difficult for international physicians to come and practice. It is difficult enough to find doctors interested in coming to Northern Alberta.

Mayor Lanctot will attend the Town of Falher Centennial opening ceremonies in conjunction with the Honey Festival.
