An engineering study has begun for options related to the Old High Prairie Bridge.

Kevin Cymbaluk, the director of operations for the M.D. of Smoky River No. 130, discussed this as part of his report to council during their meeting on Feb. 14.

Opus Engineering, the M.D of Smoky River No. 130, the M.D. of Greenview and Big Lakes County have formed an ad hoc committee to determine the options.

Cymbaluk also noted that tenders will soon be issued for the replacement of lift stations in Guy and Jean Cote. Funding will be provided under the Canada Clean Water and Wastewater Fund.

In other news, the M.D. is seeking a license from Alberta Environment for an additional water-use license for the Little Smoky Ski Hill.
