Keeping in step with the season, St. Paul’s Heritage Society held a summer themed Sunday Tea on June 23, at the Manse House on 2nd Ave NE in Mclennan.
As with all Heritage Society Sunday Tea fundraisers, the June 23 by donation event was a pleasant social get-together over tea, coffee and a variety of baked goods.
The Society holds such events regularly throughout the year with the theme of the occasion usually relating to the time of year, serving fruit or berries that are in season.
Visitors to the Heritage house Sunday teas and other events are always welcome to tour the restored 1930’s manse house and St. Paul’s Anglican Church.
St. Paul’s annual summer garage sale, held at the McLennan Royal Canadian Legion on Highway 2, will be open until the end of July.
The next Sunday Tea at the Manse House will happen on July 28 at the usual time of 2pm to 4pm with another Sunday Tea scheduled for sometime in September.
The manse house teas and the summer garage sale are the Heritage Society’s primary source of fundraising for the restoration and maintenance of the manse house and St. Paul’s Anglican Church.
