St. John the Baptist Parish held its annual turkey and tourtiere supper on Sunday, December 3 with over two hundred people attending including parish priest Fr. Eucharius.

Father Eucharius took the opportunity to visit with his parishioners, enjoy the banter and wish everyone a happy Christmas.

Father Eucharius, who is a member of the Vocationist Fathers, arrived in the diocese last year around this time and took up residence at the Chancery House in McLennan in January.

As usual, the event was a wonderful social occasion with community members having an opportunity to relax, converse, and enjoy an excellent turkey, tourtiere and dessert supper.

The event also included a wide variety of donated items for the silent auction, a 50/50 draw, bake sale and a visit from Santa Clause with the kids putting in their Christmas wish list and leaving with a goodie bag to tide them over until Christmas morning.
