With harvesting finished, it was the right time to hold the annual St. Guy Parish dinner and bazaar.
So commented Jules Aubin, president of the St. Guy Parish, regarding the event he and other volunteers held at the Guy community hall on Nov. 1.
“We appreciate all the people coming out to support us,” says Aubin. “With harvest over, this is a good time to get together.”
The event is always held during the first weekend in November, he adds.
Aubin and other volunteers served turkey meat pies, mashed potatoes, salad and dessert.
Msgr. Charles Lavoie offered the blessing prior to the meal being served.
A bingo and bazaar were held following the dinner, with pies and other items for sale. The event was a fundraiser for the Guy St. Parish, with all proceeds going to its operations.
