Smoky River Gymnastics Club begins the 2018/19 season

It has begun – the main gym at Ecole Routhier is filled with children of all ages on Tuesday and Thursday nights, and they going through their paces on the parallel bars, uneven bars and other gymnastics equipment.

The Smoky River Gymnastics Club began on September 25 and over 75 gymnasts are participating in the 2018/19 season.

“We are looking forward to a successful season,” says Head Coach Val Towpich.

She is joined by Coach Jesse Sylvain, Assistant Coach Andria Towpich, Assistant Coach Krystin Morin, Junior Coach Alexanne Fillion and Junior Coach Danielle St. Laurent.

The categories of gymnastics for this season are Tiny Tots; Beginner Boys and Girls; Intermediate Boys and Girls; Advanced Boys and Girls; and Level A & B Boys and Girls.

The Smoky River Gymnastics Club has a busy schedule this season, which will include hosting an achievement day on February 24, 2019, and a fun meet on March 17. The club will also go to the Fairview meet on March 1, and to the Peace River meet on March 19.
