It’s for a good cause so why not attend and have a good time?

The Smoky River Daycare Society is hosting a New Year’s Eve Dance at Centre Chevaliers in Falher Dec. 31.

“This event is designed to help raise funds for the new daycare that is being opened in order to serve the Smoky River region,” reads a letter co-authored by president Jessica Simard and board member Kristina Nolette.

In addition to the dance, a silent auction and midnight lunch will be served.

“The DJ is DJ DK Entertainment,” says Simard. “He is also bringing his photo booth to capture the night’s memories.”

Local businesses have been generous so far with silent auction items. Contact Simard at [780] 837-1667 or Nolette at [780] 837-6949 if you still want to donate.

“There will be a beef on a bun midnight lunch and the Vanier Grad Committee is doing the free safe driving service to endure that everyone and their cars get home safely,” adds Simard.

Tickets are $30 each and can be bought at Original Pete’s Confectionary, The Tractor Pit Convenience Store & More or by calling Simard.

Doors open at 7 p.m. Everyone attending must have ID presented at the door.
