The bands at Georges P. Vanier entertained with a variety of Christmas selections during their concert on Dec. 15. This included a performance by the Grade 9 drama group. Look for a story about the event in the Dec. 21 edition of the Smoky River Express. Also, look for videos of the concert on the Express Facebook page.

Under the direction of Pam Heckbert, the Grade 8 band performed ‘Santa Claus is Coming to Town’.
Under the direction of Edson Johnson, the Grade 9 band performed ‘Christmas Time with Charlie Brown’ and ‘O Holy Night’.
The Grade 9 drama group performed a play called ‘Christmas Ghost’, with a visit from a dead relative to settle some ruffled feathers about the spirit of the season.
The senior high jazz band performed some selections, including ‘Earth Wind and Fire’, Stevie Wonder’s ‘Superstition’ and ‘Green Onions’.
