Smoky River Dance Society performs at Villa Beausejour

by Tom Henihan

There was an interesting change of pace at Villa Beausejour on Monday, November 8 when the Smoky River Dance Society came by to present a brief but energetic 45-minute recital in the late afternoon.
The approximately 60 dance society students of all levels, from the very young to approximately 15 years old, performed various dance routines to Christmas themed music.
The residents and the many guests who showed up to see the concert responded enthusiastically to the performances, which were well coordinated with swift transitions from one group to the next.
The impromptu style of the show and the lively performances provided a sense of spontaneity, an ideal respite from the regular routine and a perfect way to transition from afternoon to suppertime.
