Attention, all bowlers and bowling teams.
Smoky Lanes Bowling in Girouxville is re-opening for a new season on Sept. 20, so drop in and register for league bowling as soon as possible.
“We’re looking forward to a great season and hope people come and use our facilities,” says manager Diane Dentinger.
“The directors and staff at the alley would like to welcome you all back for another season of good times and great moments.”
She has two staff, Tammy Gies and Lynn Florence, to serve you.
Smoky Lanes Bowling will host a one-day open tournament on Oct. 1. Teams of four, with a fall colour dressup, can register for $160, or $40 per player.
This event will include two games and supper. The first eight prepaid teams will be accepted.
League bowling will start Oct. 4, with ladies night on Tuesdays and mixed leagues on Thursdays.
If there’s enough interest, a men’s night will be created, as will a second night for mixed league bowling.
Also, there will be FCSS drop-in bowling every Tuesday at 1 p.m., and the cost is $10 per person.
An eight-week league is $120 per person, which includes three games per night and a Saturday rolloff day. Shoes are extra.
Coffee league drop-in bowling will also be held every Wednesday, beginning at 1 p.m.
Watch for announcements of upcoming tournaments. There will be no tournaments held in December, however.
Smoky Lanes Bowling accepts bookings for special occasions, including the use of their conference room at a cost of $25 per hour.
A deposit is required for all bookings.
Hours of operation will be 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. For more information or to register, please contact Dentinger at (780) 323-4244.
Also, you can check the Smoky Lanes Facebook page for the most up-to-date information.
