Ronald William Maisonneuve

Ron planted roots in Burns Lake in 1980, where he worked for the ministry of highways/LDM Ltd. for the next 35 years, mostly to support his fishing habit.
He enjoyed hockey, cooking and crappy movies in need of criticism. Always ‘on the go’, Ron would be found fishing, hunting, doing yardwork, bartering with garage salers or just taking the dogs to town for coffee and scratch tickets.
Always ready with a story to tell, a sarcastic wit and a big infectious smile, his memory will always bring a smile to those who were fortunate enough to know him. Ron was the best dad, son, brother, husband, friend and fishing buddy we ever asked for.
Missing you: wife and soulmate Kathy, kids Travis and Chelsea Melnyk, mother Carol Kirkland Bush, stepdad Ron Bush, brothers Marc, Dan and Norm Maisonneuve, sister Niki Boucher, brothers George and Rob Basarab, and countless more family and friends. We love you ‘Captain Ron’, may your waters be calm and bites never ending!
