Council has approved a motion to present a resolution for the Monsanto-Bayer Crop Science merger at the regional agricultural services board meeting in Dixonville on Nov. 9.
Normand Boulet, the ag fieldman for the M.D. of Smoky River No. 130, discussed the issue during the council meeting on Sept. 19.
The resolution is entitled “Ensuring competition for seed and crop protection products.”
Boulet also noted that the Fusarium graminearum surveys have been completed in the M.D. and Blackroot surveys should be completed by the end of September.
