RCMP McLennan Detachment

On May 5, the McLennan RCMP Detachment received of a complaint of an assault that occurred at a residence in McLennan.
The RCMP from McLennan and Grande Prairie, as well as specialized units from Edmonton and Peace River, including Forensic Identification Services, General Investigative Services and Major Crimes responded to the complaint.
After further investigation, it was learned that between May 4-5, a female was assaulted. She was transported to Sacred Heart Community Health Centre in McLennan and assessed, then transported via air ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Grande Prairie for further assessment and medical treatment.
The female was treated for injuries and she was released a few days later. The RCMP continues to investigate the matter. It is believed the female knew the individuals involved in the incident and there is no risk to public safety.
The RCMP is asking the public to come forward with any information they have about this or any other criminal incidents, to contact them at (780) 324-3061, or the nearest detachment or other police agency.
