Town of Peace River residents may remember the KFC site was developed with the current use back in 1968, and was originally home to a restaurant called Chicken Village.

However, the Land-Use Bylaw didn’t allow a drivethrough at the location.

KFC’s owners submitted an application to change the bylaw that included site plans for their proposed renovations.

“Sounds like a winner,” Councillor Colin Needham says.

Council agreed to amend the land use bylaw at its regular Feb. 10 meeting. The Town held a public hearing and approved second and third readings to allow the drivethrough.
