PICs – Peace River remembers children at Kamloops school

Shoes were placed on a sign reminding everyone that every child matters.

Peace River and area citizens remembered the 215 children found buried at the old Kamloops Residential School at a ceremony May 31. The ceremony included prayers and a smudging ceremony. Many who attended also paid their respects by placing children’s shoes, teddy bears, and other items. The ceremony was one of many held across the Peace region and Canada.
