It was the moment for soon-to-be graduates at Georges P. Vanier to shine in the limelight. The school held its annual valediction ceremony on May 21. Above, Janelle Cloutier shakes hands with Principal Bob Owens and he presents her with a diploma. Each of 44 students stood on stage and listened as their biography was read by a teacher, and photos of them at various stages of their lives were shown on a large screen to the left. At the end of the ceremony, the students tossed their caps in the air. Then they and their families when to a private banquet at the Centre Chevaliers. Look for more photos and the valedictorian address on Pages 8 & 9 of the Express.
