Smoky River Fire and Rescue has a wildland fire truck, a Ford F-Series Super Duty crew cab. Fire chief Marcel Maure says it was purchased from another municipal government and is equipped to handle wildland fires. He is pleased to have this new resource in service. Also, construction of the new regional fire hall for the M.D. of Smoky River has started.
