Although the winter weather drags on, many people are starting to think about spring and want to plan their activities for it accordingly.

To that end, the spring Parade of Programs was held in the Falher Curling Rink in the afternoon of March 30.

Seventeen organizations – including Northern Lakes College, McLennan Campus, the Smoky River Soccer Club and the Twilight Figure Skating Club – were on hand to provide information and registration.

Approximately 100 people attended the event.

“It’s exciting to see so many people come out for one-stop shopping for Smoky River region programs,” says Lynn Farrell, the Director of Community Services for the Town of Falher.

The fall Parade of Programs will be held in September, and will include a used equipment buy and sell section.
