Gerard Chenard

Gerard [Jerry] Antoine J. Chenard, a long-time resident of Robb, AB, born April 13, 1936, passed away Feb. 11, 2021 at the age of 84.

He was born at home at Tangent, AB and died in his home at Robb.

He farmed in Tangent for awhile, then moved to Robb and got a job as a coal mine driller. He did that for over 30 years, then retired.

Gerard always loved fishing, hunting and quadding. He also loved sports, a lot of it on TV, in his later years.

He leaves behind two sons: Victor G. Chenard of Robb; Marcel R. Chenard of Hines Creek, AB; also Victor and Marcel’s mother, Lucienne [Lucy] Osborne of Hines Creek; and three granddaughters, Stephanie, Amanda and Kristen; three great-grandchildren, Landon, Madaline and Sadie Chenard; three sisters, Marie Jean and Emile Laurin of Spruce Grove, AB; Lorraine Lavoie of Grande Prairie, and Lise Boisvert of Leduc, AB; three brothers, Aristide and Elizabeth Chenard of Joussard; Noel and Jeanne Chenard of Tangent, and Rosaire and Rosie Chenard of Grande Prairie; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Gerard was predeceased by: his parents, Germaine and Joseph Chenard; and a brother, Lucien Chenard, all of Tangent.

Gerard was cremated and will be put to rest in the Tangent Cemetery this summer 2021.
