Emile Alfred Boivin, lifelong resident of Tangent, was born in Spirit River on July 5, 1956. He passed away in Grande Prairie on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019 at the age of 63 years.
Emile was an avid outdoorsman. He spent most of his days working on the farm, camping, hunting, fishing and spending time with his friends and family.
He worked for 35 years in the oilfield prior to retiring to his dream job as a full-time farmer in 2008. His quick wit, clever nicknames and genuine love of life will be missed by many.
He will be lovingly remembered by: his wife Jeanette; daughters, Rae-Ann [Dale] Bolster, Dionne [Garret] Hjelsing; son Ryan Boivin; grandchildren, Avery and Jared Bolster, Quinn and Declan Hjelsing; parents Henri and Marie-Ange Boivin; siblings, Ronald [Simone Desilets], Pauline [Doug Purcha], Jiggs [Fiona Logan], Doris [Jim Pierce], Alain [Debbie Lee], Edith [Rick Mainwaring]; sisters-in-law, Irene [Lawrence Lemoine], Doris [Jules Boivin], and as well as numerous family and friends.
A Celebration of Life was held on Oct. 25, 2019 at Saints Martyrs Canadiens in Tangent.
