Paul Rochon passed away peacefully on March 17, 2016 in McLennan, Alberta at the age of 83 years.
Paul was born in Edmonton, son of Noe Rochon and Luce Maurier on January 27, 1933.
Paul’s work career started at a lumber camp, followed by his apprenticeship as a butcher in Falher.
At the age of 18 years, he opened his own butcher shop in Eaglesham called “Paul’s Meats.”
Shortly thereafter he married Winnie Pelletier on October 29, 1951.
They had four children – Norman, Lorraine, Jeannette and Doris.
Paul longed to farm, so in 1966 he sold his business and enjoyed his farming career in the Girouxville area.
In addition, he drove a school bus for various school divisions.
In their later years, Paul and Winnie moved to Falher and enjoyed their retirement.
Paul will be remembered by his friendliness and positive attitude.
