June Caroline Pakarnyk (Oe) (Maiden Anderson), a long-time resident of Watino, Alberta, passed away at the Sacred Heart Community Health Centre in McLennan, Alberta on March 22, 2016 at the age of 75 years.

June was born in Armstrong, British Columbia, on June 13, 1940.

She grew up on a farm near Sexsmith, lived on a farm near Wembley as well as in Grande Prairie, prior to moving to the Watino Valley.

June’s interests were many, including gardening, cooking, baking, camping, fishing, wine making, crafts, painting, cake decorating, and listening to music.

Her flowers were her joy and the Watino Valley provided serenity. Her friends and family gave her much happiness.
She touched the hearts of many and will be dearly missed.

June as predeceased by her Father, George Anderson; Mother, Carrie Anderson; and Brothers George and Alvin Anderson.

She is survived by Husband, Walter Pakarnyk; Daughter, Marlene Nellis (Dan); Son, Ron Oe (Wendy); Stepdaughter, Thesa Pakarnyk; Stepson, Ronnie Pakarnyk (Heather); Sister, Irene Peebles and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in June’s name to Smoky River Palliative Care Society or your local chapter of Salvation Army.

A celebration of her life will take place at Watino Hall at 2 p.m. on April 9, 2016.
