OBITUARY – Helene Anita McArthur passes away at the age of 81

Helene Anita McArthur, of McLennan, Alberta, passed away on Friday January 22, 2016 at the age of 81 years.
Helene was born on February 19, 1934 in Guy, Alberta and later attended school in McLennan where she graduated in 1952. Helene married Donald F McArthur on June 30, 1954 and they had three children: Garry, Rod and Bruce.
Helene and Don lived in McLennan for their entire married life. She worked at Merner’s Drugstore and later worked for Canada post for 20 years from 1974 to 1994.
Helene moved to Morinville in 1998 where she resided until 2014 when she moved back to McLennan and lived at the Manoir du Lac.
Helene was predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Eva Lussier, her husband Donald McArthur and two sisters, Rollande Camponi of Vernon, B.C. and Paulette McCann of Wabamun, Alberta.
Helene leaves to mourn her three sons Garry (Pat) of Morinville, Alberta, Rod (Jocelyne) of McLennan, Alberta and Bruce of Devon, Alberta. She also leaves to mourn her 5 grandchildren, Scott McArthur, Tyler McArthur (Kirsten), Amber Switzer (Grayson), Randi Gauchier (Andy) and Lindsay Dumont and 11 great-grandchildren: Carter, Reed and Rylen McArthur (Scott), Emmett McArthur (Tyler & Kirsten), Bentley Switzer (Amber & Grayson), Brooke, Andrew and Sasha Gauchier (Randi & Andy), Hunter, Jasmine and Braden Dumont (Lindsay).
She also leaves to mourn her two sisters Lillian (George) Stafford and Irene Humm and one brother, Marcel Lussier.
Helene’s wish was to be interred with her mother, Eva Lussier in St. Albert, Alberta. There will be a private family service there in the summer of 2016.
