Members of the Peace River Alliance Church and their families gathered at Misery Mountain on New Year’s Eve to ring in 2019.

Over 100 people attended the event, which featured a potluck dinner of chili, Swedish meatballs and shepherd’s pie, as well as an assortment of salads and desserts.

Although it got dark early, children took advantage of the opportunity to go up and down the ski hill on their snowtubes, slides and snowboards.

When the cold temperature bore down on them, they joined their parents inside the chalet for a hearty, warm meal.

After dinner, some children went outside for another round of winter fun, while others stayed inside to play games.

Two weeks earlier, the Peace River Alliance Church held a multi-denominational Christmas dinner at the Catholic Education & Conference Centre.
