New school announced for CSNO in Peace River

The recent provincial budget has brought some long-awaited good news for a local school district, its parents and students.

The Conseil scolaire du Nord-Quest was very pleased to announce Nov. 1 that an infrastructure project for the replacement of Ecole des Quatre-Vents in Peace River was announced by the ministries of Education and Infrastructure.

The new school will finally solve the many infrastructure needs at Ecole des Quatre-Vents, especially with regard to accessibility issues, access to a quality gymnasium, equivalent high school programming and many others, reads a news released from the board.

The announcement comes after many years of advocacy on the part of the school board and the community of Ecole des Quatre-Vents. CSNO thanks and congratulates the parents and students for their support and perseverance in obtaining the project.

CSNO looks forward to the details regarding the new Ecole des Quatre-Vents replacement project and thanks the Government of Alberta for recognizing the critical needs of the community.
