NET Ministries team returns to HFCRD schools

Holy Family Catholic Regional Division (HFCRD) recently welcomed the National Evangelization Team (NET) Ministries back to the region.

The team of seven young adults: Hunter Langill, Ethan Pierce, Devin Gras, Alexia Flores, Mirjam Welling, Therese-Marie Dunn and Rebecca Harber, visited all HFCRD schools in the region offering the Net Ministries message of living for Christ through the teachings of the Catholic Church.

National Evangelization Team (NET) Ministries is part of an international organization that offers young adults an opportunity to embrace and promote their faith through visiting parishes, schools and faith communities, helping others to strengthen their Christian faith.

NET Ministries Winter and Spring 2019 events are hosted in partnership with the HFCRD school communities for two years. The team travel to all HFCRD schools to hold retreats for students in Grades 6 to 12.

They also host events for communities and local parishes. Community events are free and everyone is encouraged to attend.

NET “Family Fun Nights” will take place in Grimshaw, January 28 – Peace River, Tuesday February 14 –Valleyview, March 12 and St. John the Baptist Cathedral in McLennan, March 17.

Junior High Youth Groups at “Our Lady of Peace Parish” will happen on Wednesdays, January 16, February 13, March 13 and April 17. All youth group events begin at 6.30pm.

Senior High Youth Groups at “Our Lady of Peace Parish,” are also on Wednesday beginning at 6.30pm and take place January 23, February 23, March 20 and April 24.

The HFCRD Division-Wide Family Encounter Day is Saturday February 16 from 10am to 3pm, which takes place at the Catholic Conference Centre in Peace River

The “Junior High Overnight, 2 Day Encounter” takes place in Peace River are on April 12th-14th in Peace River and the “Senior High Overnight Encounter Days” take place April 26 to 28.
