Farm Credit Canada’s Save Tax and Simplify Farm Transfer workshop on April 5 (at the Falher Regional Recreation Complex), led by Merle Good, focused on helping producers choose the right business structure to help minimize taxes and pave the way for a smoother farm transfer.
As a former tax specialist for the Alberta Agricultural Ministry and a private consultant with GRS Ltd., Merle is an expert on hot topics in farm management. During this half-day workshop, Merle shared his expert advice on retirement planning, succession planning, land rental and tax savings with 80 agricultural business owners and operators.
