McLennan Santa Day happens on December 10 at the Elks Hall, beginning at 11am and running to 3pm.
As usual, the event promises to be a lot of fun for kids with a free hotdog lunch, snacks and refreshments including, popcorn, hot chocolate, cupcakes and juice with coffee also being available for adults.
Other features at Santa Day include face painting from 1pm to 3pm, hayrides from 12.30pm to 3pm and Santa will be at the hall from 1.30pm to 2.30pm, handing out goodie bags, posing for photographs and helping with the draws.
The kids also have a number of options to keep themselves entertained by either watching a movie, colouring with crayons and this year there will be a games corner where the kids can get into a traditional Christmas spirit playing the customary, old-fashioned board games.
Coming towards the end of the celebrations, numerous draws and door prizes will be presented to the kids.
For those planning to go on the hayrides, according to the Farmers Almanac, “there may be wet snow or rain showers on December 10,” so dress appropriately.
The Royal Purple Elks put on the McLennan Santa Day event while receiving the generous support of businesses and individuals within the community.
