Over 45 vendors and exhibitors have already registered to participate at the McLennan and District Chamber of Commerce, Trade and Recreation Market taking place at the H.W. Fish Arena on Saturday, September 24, from 10am to 5pm.
Consistent with the Chamber’s mission, the trade and recreation market is to provide local and regional businesses and organizations with an opportunity to showcase their crafts, commodities, and services in a economical and effective environment. The principal theme of the market is outdoor and recreation but adhering to that theme is certainly not a prerequisite for vendors to participate.
While the organizers of the market have tried to keep the cost to vendors as reasonable as possible, they do hope to generate a modest net profit to reinvest in similar ventures. However, the Chamber’s primary objective is to organize a worthwhile event that visitors will enjoy and that has the potential to provide immediate and residual benefits to those who participate.
Admission to the market is free for visitors while the variety of presentations, products and services offered is extensive: outdoor sports and recreation products, opportunities and services, metal and woodcrafts, jewelry, fashion, personal care products, skin care and cosmetics.
There are also nutritional products, gourmet spices and condiments, plus items for the home and family including candles, toys and books.
Smoky River Regional Golf Course Society will be providing food services for the event.
Space is still available for any vendors who wish to register and anyone interested in participating should call Emma at 780-837-5475 or email mclennanmarketfair@gmail.com.
An 8 x 8 booth is $40, an 8 x16 booth $60 and $1.00 per square foot for larger spaces.
The Town of McLennan has been an active partner in the organization of the Trade and Recreation Market having donated the use of the H.W. Fish Arena for the event.
