On Thursday April 12, McLennan Library will hold FOCUS in the McLennan Town Office conference room.

People from the community, including young people, are invited to participate and offer their insights and opinions as part of a discussion group that will help determine the focus of the library over the next five years.

The objective is for those attending the event to discuss how McLennan Municipal Library can offer the community the most viable use of its resources and services as it looks to the future in a rapidly changing technological and social environment.

Those who understand the indispensible and decisive role the local library plays in a small town in a rural environment should make the effort to attend this event.

McLennan Municipal Library provides a broad spectrum of resources and services along with numerous programs catering to all age groups.

The library also provides online access to government, educational and cultural resources and programs.

Larry Stewart, Community Development Officer, Albert a Culture and Tourism will lead the focus group.

The event begins with pizza at 6pm and the discussions runs until 8.30pm. For information on FOCUS call Philippa O’Mahony @ 780-324-3602 or 780-837- 0175 or Maureen Fisher at (780) 324-3767.
