Celebrating the season and the end of a busy year that saw a lot of new and innovative programming aimed at both children and adults, McLennan Municipal Library held its Christmas Open House on Wednesday December 12 from 2pm to 4pm.
Librarian Maureen Fisher and Chair of McLennan Library Board, Philippa O’Mahony were on hand to welcome the steady stream of library patrons and men, women and children from the community who dropped by to visit, share some Christmas cheer with a glass of wassail and some Christmas goodies.
Wassail is a hot cider punch dating back to Medieval England and a seasonal favourite at Christmas time.
Over the holidays, the library will be closed December 24, 25 and 26th, and January 1st and 2nd. To avoid confusion the Library will be open the 27th, 28th and 31st of December. Regular hours resume on January 3, 2019.
