Motorists in McLennan will still have to stop at a three-way stops on Bousfield Avenue and MacMillan Avenue.

McLennan town council denied a request from a resident to remove the three-way stop at its meeting Aug. 10.

“They were put in to slow the traffic down,” Mayor Michele Fournier says.

The area has many small children and it makes sense to leave the three-way stops in and make it safe, she adds.

“If we removed the stop signs, it would be a speeding issue again.”
