Kimwan Birdwalk
Kimiwan Birdwalk Society presiden, Philippa O’Mahony and board member Mark Heckbert appeared before Council to renegotiate the Kimiwan Birdwalk Agreement with the Town of McLennan. Under the new agreement the society is responsible to cover the cost of the utilities for the building and to be responsible for the capital repairs to the walkways. The Society is asking Council to reconsider the utilities for the Interpretive Centre building.

Asset Management
Peter Ho, an engineer with Bearisto & Associates Engineering Firm, provided Council with an overview of the Town of McLennan Asset Management Plan.

Rates and Charges Bylaw
Couuncil approved a bylaw to increase some rates for services provided by the municipality. The increases, which will take effect on May 1, will apply to cemetery plots, arena ice rental and several administrative services such as photocopying, faxing, laminating, copies of utility bills and tax notices.

Smoky River Airport Commission
On a motion from Councillor Christen, Council approved the 2019 Smoky River Airport Budget and to provide its requisition share of $15,980.24.

Spring Clean Up
Council approved to hold Spring Clean Up from Friday, May 3 to Monday, May 6. The hours and number of days have been decreased this year and residents of McLennan will be required to pay a fee of $5 per load. The fees are to offset the cost that went over budget last year.

Peace Regional Subdivision & Appeal Board
Council has approved entering into an agreement to establish the Peace Regional Subdivision and Appeal Board. Under the new MGA members and clerk are required to be certified to be on the board. Having a regional board will reduce the certification cost to the municipality.

May Council Meeting
On a motion by Councillor Giroux the Regular Council Meeting for May 13, 2019 was rescheduled to May 6, 2019.
