The M.D. of Smoky River’s mowing program, inspections and surveys are winding down, and not all has been completed due to the weather.

Normand Boulet, the agricultural fieldman for the M.D. of Smoky River No. 130, gave his report to council during their meeting on Oct. 12.

Boulet also noted that farmers will receive a report about the blackleg and clubroot surveys he has completed. He is pleased to announce that no clubroot has been found within the M.D. this year.

Also, the chemical container sites in Whitemud, Guy and Jean Cote are being expanded.
