During their meeting on June 8, the council for the M.D. of Smoky River No. 130 approved the tender of R. Bee Crushing of Gibbons, Alberta.
The company will crush rock at the Anderson Pit by Watino for the amount of $783,720, excluding GST.
Riding mower
purchase approved
Council approved the purchase of a moderate duty riding mower (commercial series) from Rocky Mountain Equipment in the amount of $7,000.
Power line salvage approved
Council approved ATCO Electric’s application to remove a power line at SW 11-78-21-W5M, which is located west of Highway 2, for Long Run Exploration.
Township Road 794 is partially closed for reconstruction work
Part of Township Road 794 has been closed, between Range Roads 203 and 204, for reconstruction work.
Also, the sani-dump for Guy is now operating. The one in Jean Cote has been operating since last year.
Alberta Agriculture to audit ASB programs
Normand Boulet, the ag fieldman for the M.D., reported that Alberta Agriculture will conduct an audit of the regional agricultural service board’s programs.
