It’s not too early to start your Christmas shopping

by Mac Olsen

The Girouxville Community Hall was busy on Nov. 14, as 35 vendors had their items for sale.
It was the annual Girouxville Christmas Show and Sale, organized by Laura Leclerc.
“It’s always a good turnout,” says Leclerc. “The vendors are always pleased.”
She held the event as a fundraiser. The cost was $25 per table for vendors, with $20 from each table going to the Village of Girouxville playground and $5 going towards the Smoky River Family and Community Support Service’s Christmas voucher program.
She raised $530 for the playground and $689.35 for the voucher program. Also, six bags of food were collected for the food bank.
