High Prairie School Division has appointed Jenna Billard as literacy lead.
The scope of the literacy lead’s work is guided in general by the recommendations embedded in the HPSD Literacy Report (2015) and by the HPSD Three Strategic Improvement Plan.
Billard will work with teachers, school administrators, system leads, and executive staff to implement strategies to improve instruction for literacy.
She has a Masters of Education from the University of Connecticut with focus in counseling, educational psychology, and reading.
Billard has a Ph. D. (all but dissertation) focusing on talent development, reading, and educational psychology.
Her background and experience as a professional developer and reading coach, workshop facilitator, and graduate research assistant are valued by the school division.
