It just got a lot easier for students attending Peace River Good Shepherd School to travel between schools.

At its Aug. 24 meeting, the Holy Family Catholic Regional Division board of trustees approved the introduction of inter-school busing in 2020-21.

The bus will travel between Glenmary School, the Sugar Plum Daycare and Good Shepherd School before and after school each day.

The board agreed to cover half the cost of the new service to make it more affordable. The cost is $40 per month for one child or $60 per month for two children.

Parents were asked to register before Sept. 4.

Several rules are in place including the driver and Grades 4-6 students must wear masks, hand sanitizer must be used before boarding the bus, students must sit in assigned seats, no eating or drinking will be allowed, and the bus will be wiped clean after each run.

Gloves, disinfectant spray, paper towel and hand sanitizer will be supplied by Holy Family.
