It was a warm, sunny day and perfect for holding the Terry Fox Run.
Students at Ecole Heritage participated in their annual Terry Fox Run on Sept. 29, making a circular route through Falher early in the morning.
The event was held in the morning. All the students met out back of the building, where organizer Joel Lavoie highlighted the importance of the event.
“This is our 10th year of participating in this run,” he said.
Lavoie also noted that they surpassed their goal of $1,000 and raised over $2,000.
Ecole Heritage received a certificate of appreciation from the Terry Fox Foundation, in light of the school’s 10th year participating in the event.
Some students wore stickers on their shirts, highlighting the name of the person they were doing the run for, someone who was affected by cancer.
