The staff and students at Ecole Heritage participated in Jersey Day on April 12, as their way to honour the Humboldt Broncos team that was involved in the collision between their bus collision and a commercial transport on April 6. The other schools in the Smoky River region also participated in Jersey Day, and more photos can be found on Page 19 of this week’s Express. Sixteen people died in that tragedy and there have been tributes and other services held across the country to honour the team and their families. On April 12, the municipal government offices and schools in the region lowered their flags to half staff.
