Grande Prairie RCMP Charge Male following Traffic Stop

On October 18, 2017 at approximately 3:00 PM Grande Prairie RCMP General Investigation Section (Drug Unit) charged a male after conducting a traffic stop in the area of 98 Street and 112 Avenue.

Nicholas RAK was stopped and arrested without incident by the RCMP Drug Unit. During the scope of their investigation police seized 21.66 grams of Marihuana; 38.71 grams of cocaine; 30.66 grams of methamphetamine; 1.47 grams of powdered Fentanyl; 1 Litre GHB and $1305.00 in Canadian currency.  A set of brass knuckles was also seized from the vehicle.

RAK (20) from Grande Prairie has been charged with 20 Criminal Code offences which include:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking x3
  • Possession of a controlled substance x2
  • Unauthorized possession of a weapon
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose x3
  • Possession of property obtained by crime
  • Fail to comply with Recognizance x10

 

Nicholas RAK is to appear in Grande Prairie Provincial Court on November 1, 2017.

As this matter is now before the courts no further information will be provided.
