The junior boys’ Vipers volleyball team at Georges P. Vanier can play the song ‘We are the Champions!’
They brought home the gold medal from divisionals, held in High Prairie on Oct. 28.
“They played really well,” says Coach Pam Heckbert. “It was a good tournament to get ready for zones.”
They played against the Prairie River Junior High Raiders in the championship game and won in two sets, to take gold. The girls’ team also went to divisionals, but lost to the St. Andrew’s Saints of High Prairie in semi-finals. Both GPV teams went to zones in La Crete this past weekend.
